The Hoover Public Works Department maintains designated roadways, sidewalks and the stormwater sewer system throughout the City of Hoover.

Examples of Services Offered:

• Repairing and replacing storm drain covers, catch basin’s and the cleaning of storm gutters
  
• Asphalt patching and repairing of City streets
  
• Replacing and repairing sidewalks
  
• Painting for crosswalks/parking, handicapped ramps
  
• Annual Household Hazardous Waste Day
  
• Tree trimming in City right-of-ways
  
• Clean up after storm events
  
• Mowing and trimming right-of-ways
  
• Provide signage/barricades/banners for special events
  
• Tree maintenance including removal of fallen trees in the roadway
  
• Oversees contract compliance and street sweeping and maintenance
•  Remediate litter and remove deceased animals
